Top Tips for Yoma Shoe Care

To help maintain the appearance and to prolong the life of your shoes, we recommend the following:

Regular use of protector spray to help guard against staining and water penetration.

Always leave wet shoes to dry naturally

The use of a shoe horn will prevent damage to the backs of your shoes.

The use of a shoetree will maintain the shape of your shoes when not being worn.

LEATHER SHOE CARE

Because of its porous nature, a leather sole will let in water. For this reason we do not recommend they are used for excessive outdoor use.

After a period of time the sole will wear away (even under normal conditions) making it necessary for the sole to be repaired.

Stilletto and kitten heels tend to wear away more quickly when worn often , regular repairs may be neccessary.

To clean your shoes, wipe it with a soft, non-abrasive and clean cloth of neutral colour

Extra care should be taken with white and light coloured shoes

NUBUCK AND SUEDE SHOES

Gentle use of a suede brush with a nubuck/suede cleaner will remove most stains.

To remove water, grease and other stains use a good suede cleaner

FABRIC SHOES

Take extra care with delicate materials and use only specialised cleaning products, testing on a small area of the shoe first.

Silk or beaded shoes should be used with care. when not being worn they should be stored in their box or covers to protect bead work.

Top Tips for Yoma Handbag Care

Avoid overloading.

Avoid contact with alcohol (perfumes, solutions) and greases (for example, foundation and make up)

If the weather is really bad and raining consider using a waterproof handbag.

Avoid under any circumstances contact with rough or abrasive materials.

When carrying a light coloured bag consider using pencils rather than Biros - biro can be difficult to remove. Don't use your bag as a rest to place paper and write notes.

Pointed pens can leave impression tool marks through paper rested on firm leathers.

We do not reccomend you dry clean your handbag.The detergents they use are not always suituable.

Do not put your handbag in the washing machine,we recomend you remove dirty marks by rubbing gently with a damp cloth.

Look after your bag and store it in its dust bag cover or use a natural fibre soft pillowslip.

If your bag has a chain handle, store the chain inside the bag to avoid scratching the outside leather when the bag is resting.

For storage, use bubble wrap to stuff your bags as it does not attract moths in the same way as tissue paper does.

For long term storage, undo strap buckles so that impressions are not created
